The Role The purpose of this role is to drive sales and assist in the day-to-day retail operations of their customers, providing technical advice to customers on their product and service needs. Your day-to-day duties will include, but not limited to:
1. First point of contact for retail as well as End User customers as required
2. Problem solve or assess a variety of challenges that arise day-to-day to achieve an outcome for the customers
3. Management of the Customer Relationship Management System and ensure all current and potential customers details are captured and updated.
4. Conduct on farm service calls as required.
The Person You will have strong communication and time management skills, be comfortable with technology and have a drive to succeed. You will also have a proven ability to build rapport quickly with customers as well work cohesively with internal support resources and colleagues. Your ability to leverage internal customer and technical support resources and work within a strong team based culture as part of your role as Area Sales Manager will be critical to not only your success in the territory, but to the business on a national basis. You will be confident in working autonomously yet deeply involved with a strong team culture.
A candidate coming from a similar agribusiness background or sales/key account management role outside of agribusiness will be highly regarded. Without reservation, you must be a team player. Candidates with less experience but possess a can-do attitude will also be considered. The role can be located within the territory/region with flexibility regarding location to secure the right candidate.
