Senior Designer – Sedgman (Perth, Western Australia) We are looking for an experienced Layout Designer who can take conceptual engineering concepts and convert them into detailed 3D designs within the mineral processing industry. The role covers the full design cycle—from concept through detailed engineering—emphasising layout expertise and precision.
Key Responsibilities
Convert engineering concepts into comprehensive 3D designs.
Check drafting deliverables for accuracy, completeness and adherence to design specifications.
Apply meticulous attention to uphold quality standards and client requirements, ensuring efficient task completion.
Create 3D models from complex, multidisciplinary engineering concepts.
About You
10+ years of industry experience in mining, minerals processing or heavy industries.
Experience with lithium brine projects is highly desirable.
Robust knowledge of relevant Australian standards.
Experience managing projects from conceptual design through to detailed engineering.
Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, occasional MicroStation 2D and AutoDesk 3D modelling tools such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, Advanced Steel, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Vault and Plant3D.
Ability to work autonomously and adapt to evolving role requirements.
Proven skill in Advanced Steel; familiarity with AutoCAD Plant 3D Smart PID integration is a plus.
