Accountant Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and analysing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and maintaining the general ledger.
* The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, and at least 1 year of relevant work experience.
Key Responsibilities
The Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial records, efficient processes, and compliance with regulatory standards.
* Review and implement processes formulating budgetary and accounting policies for subordinate staff to use.
* Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
* Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to management to support decision-making.
* Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices, accurate recording of transactions, and efficient collection processes.
* Maintain the general ledger, reconciling accounts, posting journal entries, and ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
* Analyse costs associated with product distribution, identifying areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
* Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and maximizing tax efficiency.
* Ensure any internal control systems are upheld, this includes arranging and maintaining any accounting software and having an in-depth knowledge on the software programs allowing them to guide or monitor any subordinate staff usage.

Benefits
This is a full-time position with an annual salary of $75,000 - $85,000 based on experience.
