**Patient Services Assistant**

The General Services department at the Victorian Heart Hospital requires Patient Services Assistant's to work across all areas of the site. We are looking for staff who are customer focused, enjoy working in a busy team environment and helping others to deliver an outstanding service.
**Positions available**:
**AM Shifts**
Monday to Sunday 06.30 - 15.00
Monday to Sunday 07.00 - 14.30
**PM Shifts**
Monday to Sunday 14.00 - 21.30
Monday to Sunday 14.30 - 23.00
**Night Duty**
Monday to Sunday 23.00 - 06.00

**A Day in the Life**:
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Transfer & transport of patients throughout the hospital
- Use of lifting equipment, bed movers and wheelchairs
- Assisting nursing staff as requested
- Transfer and cleaning of ward equipment
- Department/Ward Cleaning
What you need:
- Certificate III Health Services Assistant (Essential)
- Previous experience as a patient services assistant _(Desirable)_
- Excellent understanding of patient identification procedures.
- Ability to comprehend and follow written instructions and procedures
- Able to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling
- Good understanding of cleaning methodologies and infection control procedures
- A strong commitment to working effectively as part of a team
On a personal level, you will demonstrate:
A "Can Do" attitude with the capability to problem solve and troubleshoot
A positive attitude and drive to deliver excellent customer service
Genuine interest in working with and caring for people

- A competent level of verbal & written communication skills and excellent customer service skills
