Social Workers in Cancer Care - Tweed
Job Summary
This role will be an integral member of our senior social work team, providing clinical and psychosocial support to individuals and families affected by cancer. In addition to servicing the Cancer Care Unit, you will be responsible for supervising and upskilling the social work team.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide expert clinical and psychosocial support within the Cancer Care Unit
• Supervise and develop the skills of the social work team
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across hospitals, community settings, and homes to support patients and families
• Participate in care planning and advocacy for patients and families within the regional community
Required Qualifications and Skills
• Evidence of three years' experience in Social Work under the Health Professionals State Award
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency, or ability to live and work legally in Australia
• Proven ability to work in a regional community setting
