Security Technician Position Overview
The ideal candidate for this position will be a skilled Security Technician with hands-on trade background, preferably in electrical or BMS systems.
They should possess strong technical knowledge of Gallagher, Tecom, Inner Range, or similar security systems, as well as excellent communication and stakeholder skills.
The successful applicant will be responsible for installing and maintaining advanced electronic security systems across Australia, working closely with the Australian Defence Force, Government, and commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install and commission high-security T1A systems
* Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
* Provide exceptional customer service and support
* Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team objectives
* Maintain accurate records and reports
Requirements:
* Australian Citizenship (NV1 Security Clearance eligibility required)
* NSW Security Licence or ability to obtain one; Drivers licence
* White Card and Asbestos Awareness Card (or ability to obtain)
* Strong technical knowledge of Gallagher, Tecom, Inner Range, or similar systems
* Hands-on trade background – Security Technician, or Electrician / BMS tech cross-skilling
* Strong communication, stakeholder skills, and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
* 3+ years' experience in security systems install / commissioning
* Programming / commissioning experience with Gallagher, T1A or similar
* ICT networking skills
* Fault identification, isolation, and reporting
* Experience creating cable schedules, drawings, and documentation
