About the role
Randalls Equipment is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician/Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Mount Gambier, South Australia. This is a full-time role that will involve travelling to customer sites to provide maintenance and repair services for our range of forestry and civil contracting equipment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers' operations run smoothly.
We are currently looking for a person that can develop the Mount Gambier business and also grow on a personal level into a Branch Management position within the next couple of years.
What you will be doing
* Diagnose and repair a variety of forestry and civil contracting equipment and attachments at customer sites.
* Perform scheduled maintenance and servicing to prevent equipment breakdowns.
* Liaising with customers to understand their equipment needs and provide technical guidance.
* Complete detailed job reports and maintain accurate records of work undertaken.
* Work collaboratively with the wider Randalls Equipment team to deliver exceptional customer service.
* Comply with all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
What we're looking for
* Formal qualifications as a diesel mechanic or mechanical fitter or a related technical discipline.
* Proven experience as a field service technician or mechanical fitter, ideally within the industrial or manufacturing sectors.
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve equipment issues.
* Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
* A current driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites as required
* Commitment to working safely and following all relevant health and safety guidelines.
* Australian work authorization is required for this position
