This senior role suits a practical, people‑first engineer who enjoys setting direction, lifting standards and mentoring others. You will provide technical leadership on tailings and waste facilities from early studies through detailed design and construction, with a focus on quality, efficiency and collaboration.
About the Role
Review, design, construction support and remediation of tailings structures across study, design and construction stages
Run desk-based studies and due diligence reviews using data from multiple sources
Lead scoping and pre‑feasibility studies and develop pragmatic, buildable solutions
Design and supervise waste facilities with sound geotechnical and water management inputs
Project management and coordination across scope, schedule, budget and risk About You
Degree in Engineering with geotechnical or civil specialisation
10+ years’ relevant experience in mining projects, with tailings design/build/maintenance exposure
Strong technical ability in tailings management, geotechnics, heap leaching and water management
Confident reviewing analyses and reports, and conducting audits
Proven stakeholder skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
Leadership and people management experience, including mentoring and team development
Comfortable contributing to business development and client relationship growth
Brisbane based or open to relocate (support available)
