Our
Payroll Officer
role requires a reliable and detail-oriented professional to manage payroll activities across the company. The position ensures accurate employee payments, compliance with Australian regulations, and efficient coordination between HR, Compliance and Finance. This on-site role is ideal for someone organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities
Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees.
Maintain and update employee records, leave balances and payroll data.
Ensure payroll practices comply with Australian laws, Fair Work requirements and internal policies.
Prepare basic payroll reports and support audits when required.
Handle employee queries related to payroll, payslips and entitlements.
Work with HR, Finance and Compliance teams to support smooth payroll operations.
Preferred Experience & Skills
At least 1–2 years' payroll or finance administration experience (financial services or mortgage industry advantage).
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Good understanding of Australian payroll legislation, superannuation and tax requirements.
Experience with payroll systems such as Xero, KeyPay, MYOB or similar.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numerical data.
Good communication skills and ability to manage confidential information.
Organised and proactive, with the ability to meet deadlines.
Proficiency in English and Chinese, both written and spoken.
