Aged Care Volunteer Coordinators (New England)

Position Overview:
Blue Sky Community Services is seeking two part-time Aged Care Volunteer Coordinators to join our Aged Care Services team, commencing 1 July 2026. We are looking for professional and values‐aligned individuals to join our supportive and friendly team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality volunteer services.
The coordinators will work remotely, 15 hours per week each, to service the New England area, preferably based in either Tamworth, Inverell or Armidale. The position is offered on a fixed‐term basis until 30 June 2031.
This role requires a willingness to travel within the region and access to your own vehicle with full comprehensive insurance and roadside assistance.

The Aged Care Volunteer Coordinator will:
* Recruit, screen and onboard volunteers to participate in the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS), ensuring all suitability, safeguarding and compliance requirements are met.
* Match volunteers with older participants based on individual needs, preferences, cultural considerations and program guidelines to support safe, meaningful social connections.
* Provide ongoing support, supervision and engagement to volunteers, including training, check‐ins, recognition and issue resolution to promote retention and positive experiences.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with volunteers, participants, families, aged care providers and community stakeholders to support effective service delivery.
* Coordinate volunteer visits and service delivery, ensuring schedules are planned, monitored and adapted to maintain continuity, quality and participant wellbeing.
* Maintain accurate records and reporting, including volunteer and participant documentation, compliance reporting and KPI tracking in line with funding and organisational requirements.
* Ensure safeguarding, risk management and quality standards are upheld at all times, proactively identifying and responding to concerns, incidents or emerging risks.
* Contribute to continuous improvement by monitoring outcomes, gathering feedback and identifying opportunities to enhance program quality, inclusion and reach.

* Be fully vaccinated against COVID and maintain an annual influenza vaccination.
