Our client is seeking experienced and dealer-trained Diesel Mechanics for full-time, permanent positions within workshops based on the Sunshine Coast, QLD. We are looking for candidates with hands-on experience working across a wide range of diesel vehicles, agricultural machinery, and related equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Service and maintain vehicles to manufacturer specifications
- Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot diesel engine and mechanical faults
- Repair and replace components in engines, fuel systems, cooling systems, and hydraulic components
- Trace and resolve diagnostic fault codes
- Dismantle and rebuild engines, transmissions, and steering components
- Perform brake adjustments and laser wheel alignments
- Conduct general maintenance and component replacement
- Install new parts and equipment onto machinery
- Inspect, service, and repair heavy diesel engines and related systems
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and regulations
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Hold a recognised trade qualification in Diesel Fitting / Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology
- Minimum 1 year of relevant full-time experience
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
- Experience working with construction, agricultural, or heavy diesel machinery (highly regarded)
- Ability to overhaul or maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems (advantageous)
- Can perform under pressure in a fast-paced workshop setting
- OEM/manufacturer training (highly regarded)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
