The Opportunity
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Loss Adjuster to join our dynamic Commercial Property team in Melbourne. This role would suit someone with experience in a Loss Adjusting role, looking to further their career.
The Role Responsibilities Include
* Manage own portfolio of claims from appointment to settlement with appropriate supervision;
* Attend site meetings as/when required to document claim assessment including capturing of evidence (e.g. site notes, photographs, videos, surveys);
* Source, engage and manage subject matter experts - such as consultant engineers, forensic fire investigators and scientific analysts;
* Complete documentation to update key stakeholders throughout the course of the claim (including reports, letters, loss management plans);
* Liaise with internal and external parties to ensure data integrity within business systems;
* Research, analyse and interpret complex information from a range of sources, including legal contracts (such as policy wordings and leases);
* Compile and maintain data spreadsheets, as well as reconcile invoices to monitor claim costs;
* Provide excellent customer service to key stakeholders using a variety of methods (from site visits, emails, phone, remote meetings) to deliver outcomes on claims;
* Complete both desktop and on-site investigations
* Assist with marketing and account management for key clients;
* Preparing and delivering presentations on new account nominations and market seminars;
* Build professional relationships internally and externally with stakeholders;
* Undertake projects and other ad hoc work as required.
Essential Knowledge and Experience
* 3+ years of Loss Adjusting experience
Desirable
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
* Demonstrated investigation and problem-solving skills;
* Strong attention to detail;
* Ability to prioritise and manage own workload to achieve competing demands;
* Proven ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, negotiate effectively and work through conflict constructively;
* Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
