We also promote the health and well-being of staff.We are looking for a friendly, experienced, hard-working and motivated Medical or Allied Health Receptionist to join our nurturing and welcoming practice. The position is a casual (or contracting role by negotiation), part-time role with a 3-month probationary period.This is a part-time position involving a minimum of 18 hours per week. The position is either a casual or contracted position which can be negotiated along with an appropriate and beneficial salary adjustment.Essential Qualifications and Experience·Excellent client service and telephone manner·Excellent verbal and written communication skills·The ability to be discrete, maintain confidentiality and be empathic to clients·Previous receptionist experience in medical, psychology, or specialist rooms·Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel·Knowledge of clinic software (Halaxy), or the ability to learn to use and manage the clinic software·Highly organised and efficient, attention to detail, able to problem solve and multi-task·Excellent time management and organisational skills·Ability to work independently as well as part of the team·Positive, reliable, punctual, responsible, trustworthy, and a mature attitude·Willing to perform light cleaning around the office such as watering plants, emptying the dishwashing, and vacuuming when neededDesirable Qualifications and Experience·Certificate II or III in Business Administration·Knowledge of NDIS, Medicare, DVA billing procedures·Current Police Check and Working with Children Check (WWCC) (will be required should you be the successful candidate)Key Responsibilities:Answering phones, emails, and assisting clients with queries – greeting clients in a friendly, courteous and professional mannerFollowing up email and phone inquiries·Sending administrative correspondence; reviewing and sending out doctor’s correspondenceUnderstanding and communicating service offerings and pricing structuresScheduling and confirming client appointments, managing multiple clinician diaries·Managing NDIS, Medicare, Private billings, and DVA billings and payments.Assisting with accounts receivable and accounts payableFollowing up accounts receivable to ensure timely receipt of paymentsPerforming end of day, week, and month reconciliationsHandling general administration and office records management; Updating client files and notes; data processingMaintaining industry-required documentationCreating and issuing documents associated with client intake; Creating Service AgreementsAssisting the director and office manager with day-to-day operations·General office administration duties as requested by clinicians and supervisor (e.g., stationary orders and office supplies; mail collection, photocopying, disposal of documentsAssist maintaining reception area, waiting room, offices and kitchen·Supportive and dynamic work environment·Diverse and rewarding responsibilities·Work within school hours: e.g. 8 am to 3 pm·Generous above-award salaryHow to ApplyIf you think you would be a great fit for our dynamic and friendly team, we look forward to receiving your current resume (2-3 pages maximum) and a tailored one-page cover letter explaining your abilities to address the requirements of the role including your detailed work experience and qualifications.
