Role and Location
Part time position (48 hours per fortnight) | Located at Caulfield Hospital, working within a large Program in the Alfred Care Group. This role is ideal for someone who is genuinely excellent with data, particularly Excel, who enjoys digging into data, identifying issues, and helping others understand what the data is telling them.
Responsibilities
Permanent position details: Part time (48 hours per fortnight). The role focuses on data integrity and supporting the monitoring, evaluation and ongoing development of services within the HAC Program. Primary duties include staying up to date with Department of Health changes to dataset rules and requirements, ensuring systems are in place to detect submission errors, and collaborating with Community Services staff to review and correct data. Develop processes to improve long-term accuracy of submissions, and contribute to building Program-wide capability through staff training and support in data entry and system use. Work closely with Managers across all Community Services within the HAC Program, Alfred Care Group's Finance, Digital Health and Clinical Performance Unit teams, and Bayside Health's VINAH Data Manager.

* Strong communication skills to explain data issues and reporting requirements to clinical and non-clinical staff
* Capability to educate and support staff in data entry and reporting processes
* Attention to detail and ability to identify data quality issues and compliance risks
* Ability to manage multiple data requests and competing priorities
* Problem-solving skills to investigate errors and recommend corrective actions
* Ability to work collaboratively with service managers, other Alfred and Government departments
