ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Second‐in‐Charge (2IC) with proven administrative experience, ideally within a healthcare setting, to join our Mackay Clinic, Queensland on a Permanent Full‐Time basis (38 hours per week). Reporting to the Practice Manager, this role will allow you to manage day‐to‐day clinic operations, supervise a dynamic team, and handle customer demands. You will step into the Practice Manager's shoes when needed, ensuring the clinic runs smoothly and efficiently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Overseeing the daily operations of the clinic
* Supervising and leading the administration team
* Supporting human resource functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and performance management
* Promoting exceptional customer service standards
* Reception duties and general administrative tasks
* Managing medical bookings and results
* Conducting initial medical assessments
* Invoicing and processing payments
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for someone with previous experience in staff supervision, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and coach the team
* High proficiency with computer systems
* A strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service
* A current CPR certificate and Working with Children Check, or the willingness to obtain them (please reach out to us if you need assistance with certification)
