Overview
We are currently partnering with a global, high-volume manufacturing organisation to appoint a highly capable and proactive Senior Accountant on a temporary basis.
This role reports into The Finance Controller and will play a key part in strengthening financial processes, enhancing internal controls, and supporting improved reporting outcomes across the business. It is a hands-on, value-add position suited to a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of outstanding items
* Drive improvements in reconciliation processes, including standardisation and control uplift
* Support the development and enhancement of cash flow reporting, ensuring alignment with bank activity and balance sheet movements
* Review and improve bank reconciliation processes, strengthening the linkage between bank data, reconciliations, and cash flow reporting
* Assist in strengthening banking processes and internal controls across the business
* Contribute to statutory reporting requirements, with a focus on cash flow statements and related disclosures
* Partner with Group and operational stakeholders to provide financial insights and support business partnering activities
* Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of finance operations
* Support month-end close and reporting cycles as required
Key Requirements
* Proven experience in a Senior Accountant or equivalent role within a large, high-volume organisation
* Background in chartered accounting (Big 4 / mid-tier) or equivalent commercial experience
* Strong technical accounting knowledge, with a solid understanding of balance sheet integrity and statutory reporting
* Demonstrated experience with balance sheet reconciliations and reconciliation frameworks
* Exposure to cash flow reporting highly desirable
* Experience improving bank reconciliation processes and associated controls
* Strong ERP system experience and confidence working with finance tools
* Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with structured financial data
