Overview
The Victoria Clinic is seeking a suitably qualified nurse to work in a dual role focused on Quality, Risk, and Infection Control. This is a part-time role (0.8 EFT) with onsite parking available.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for Quality/Risk and Infection Control programs to complement strategic direction, daily operational processes, and accreditation requirements for the hospital.
- Assist in the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of Quality and Infection Control procedures, practices, and standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and participate in relevant committees to collect and collate data, KPIs, and infection control clinical indicators.
- Demonstrate knowledge of NSQHS and ACHS Accreditation System; support clinical teams to meet required standards.
- Conduct clinical audits, monitoring, and surveillance as required.
- Undertake direct patient care as needed and provide guidance to less experienced nursing staff.
- Provide education and training to staff on relevant topics.
Selection Criteria
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- At least 5 years post graduate experience and/or qualifications in Infection Control and/or Quality Management
- Experience in the Acute setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer-focused care
- High degree of computer literacy including MS Office and various databases
- Ability to work cohesively within a team environment
- Proven time management and prioritisation skills
Desirable Criteria
- Immunisation certificate (or working towards)
- Auditing skills
