Overview
The GIS Consultant supports the delivery of geospatial data and analysis on projects by preparing maps, processing and managing spatial datasets, and performing basic spatial analysis. The role focuses on building GIS technical skills, applying standard methods and tools, and supporting senior staff in delivering high‐quality outputs to clients. The role requires clear communication, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and develop capability in GIS technologies and WSP process.

Qualifications
* Typically 5 years' experience.
* Ability to work on assignments of moderate size, scope, diversity, and/or complexity. Performs a variety of assignments, employing diverse methods and skills
* Applies comprehensive knowledge, skills, and practices to perform a variety of assignments
* Demonstrates developing written, verbal, interpersonal, analytical, and application skills
* Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations
* Ability to deliver a range of GIS-related activities, e.g. web/desktop mapping, data analysis, data management, process automation
* Ability to prepare technical reports and GIS-related outputs
* Contribution to proposal documentation on small/medium projects.
* Experienced in using a range of GIS software.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical input to a diverse range of GIS projects, ensuring the work complies with quality systems and client requirements
* Prepare technical reports and GIS-related outputs, e.g. mapping, spatial analysis, figures
* Monitor and manage project quality and risk
* Assist in managing project communications and project integration
* Assist in delivering reports, documents and proposals, incorporating review comments from Senior resources
