About the role
The SAP Senior Business Analyst will work across multiple ICT projects, initially contributing to a Machinery of Government (MoG) transition involving the migration of finance management functions between Queensland Government agencies. Following the MoG transition, the role will support the broader adoption of whole-of-government SAP S/4HANA processes, ensuring alignment with future-state financial and operational frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Support the transition of finance systems between government agencies as part of a Machinery of Government initiative.
Lead the design, configuration, optimisation, and implementation of end-to-end finance processes within SAP S/4HANA, ensuring alignment with best practice and standards.
Contribute to data cleansing, mapping, reconciliation, and migration activities across project phases.
Elicit, analyse, and validate requirements from business and technical stakeholders, presenting insights clearly to program leaders.
Act as a subject matter expert in finance processes and SAP functionality, advising stakeholders on system capability, roadmaps, and best-practice solutions.
Identify issues, risks, and opportunities associated with proposed solutions and assess business impacts.
Develop service transition processes, work instructions, and knowledge base articles (KBAs).
Technical Skills, Capabilities & Attributes
Proven experience in business analysis for large, complex ICT programs or projects, ideally with SAP S/4HANA exposure.
Strong capability in business process and systems modelling for complex environments.
Ability to analyse ambiguous business situations and collaborate with stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities.
Skilled facilitation to gather input, challenge constructively, and support effective requirements prioritisation.
Ability to establish requirements baselines, secure stakeholder agreement, and maintain traceability.
Capability to facilitate business decision-making and clearly disseminate both technical and business information.
Experience investigating enterprise-level requirements where complexity and ambiguity are present.
Qualifications & Certifications
A minimum of 5 years' experience as an SAP Senior Business Analyst, including hands-on work with S/4HANA.
Relevant tertiary qualifications.
Professional certifications such as CBAP, BABOK or equivalent.

Casual Loading
