About the Role (your why)
As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you'll be involved with technical scoping and costing of solution engagements, working directly with our specialists and clients to produce compelling, fit for purpose concepts and designs using a wide range of technology. You'll become fully immersed in the client's technical environment so you can make the best recommendations and developing the future technology roadmap for the customer.
Our offices are based in Canberra and Melbourne, we like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/ life balance. We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best!
Please note that to be successful in this role, you must be an Australian Citizen and be able to achieve a Baseline or NV1 security clearance.
What you'll do
As the CTO, you will be technical hands on and be part of the account leadership team. You will be providing strategic advice and be involved with technical scoping and costing of solution engagements, working directly with our specialists and customers to produce compelling, fit for purpose concepts and designs using a wide range of technology. You'll become fully immersed in the client's technical environment so you can make the best recommendations.
The core objectives and responsibilities of the CTO include:
* Provide technical and operational leadership to the customer account's engineering team, owning architecture decisions, serving as the design authority, and overseeing quality assurance throughout project delivery, with a focus on infrastructure solutions and Intelligent Workspace technologies (M365, End-User, Endpoint Engineering, Mobility)
* As a member of the customer account leadership team, you will own end-to-end delivery for both current and future initiatives within the account. You will also lead strategic planning and execution of architecture initiatives to align with business objectives and drive capability enhancements
* Development and support of Datacom innovation initiatives
* In consultation with the Account stakeholders, execute against the Delivery of services to the Service Level Agreements, goals and objectives of the Account.
* Develop the IT strategy and development of IT Roadmaps
* Be the trusted advisor to bridge the gap between technology and business objectives

What you'll bring
We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect with a broad technical Infrastructure background who has a strong knowledge of architecture frameworks. You'll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive production relationships. You will have a consultative approach with the ability to influence senior management and project leaders.
To be successful in the role, you must have:
* Previous experience with leading a small team of Engineers
* A broad technical background in the infrastructure spectrum including Intelligent Workspace - M365, End User, Endpoint Engineering and Mobility
* Own end-to-end delivery commitments to the customer as the single point of accountability, orchestrating multiple capabilities into a cohesive, integrated operation
* Ability to be part of the account leadership team with experience providing strategic advice to customers on their current state and future designs
* An understanding of the applicability of architectural frameworks, with relevant certifications
* Previous experience in developing and delivering enterprise solutions to Government clients including the development of future technical roadmaps and technical end of life plans
* The leadership skills to mentor and upskill the team, and take charge of projects
