As an
Apprentice Mechanical Fitter
, you'll work hands-on with industry-leading underground mining equipment, training alongside highly skilled tradespeople while completing your nationally recognised
Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering (Fitting)
.
You'll be involved in:
?? Assisting in the assembly and disassembly of high-tech underground mining equipment, including gearboxes, driveline systems, hydraulic power packs, and more.
? Supporting the maintenance and servicing of fixed and mobile plant equipment on-site.
Completing maintenance reports and documentation for inspected or repaired equipment.
Pitching in with ancillary tasks like minor painting, steam cleaning, and workshop duties.
Following precise assembly procedures and keeping accurate job documentation.
?? Meeting deadlines and delivering quality results as part of the team.
