Job Description
A Social Visits Volunteer who can make a meaningful difference - One visit at a time!
Are you interested in tools and tinkering? Are you handy with wood or other crafty projects?
We have a client who is living with dementia, and who misses working with tools. He would enjoy a volunteer to visit him, talk about tinkering, watch a DIY program, or perhaps build some simple wood craft projects together (hand built- not using tools).
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring excellent joy to the client you are matched with.

Requirements
18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arrangedand paid for by HammondCare •Working with Vulnerable people check
We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
