Retail Security Officers – Caneland Central
We are currently seeking Casual Retail Security Officers to join our team at Caneland Central. This role offers steady work in a busy retail environment, flexible hours, and the support of a professional and friendly team. Whether you're building your security career or looking for reliable ongoing work, this is a great opportunity with a leading national provider. Shift lengths range from 4–12 hours.
What you'll do:
* Maintain a visible presence to deter theft and ensure safety
* Patrol retail areas and monitor CCTV for suspicious activity
* Respond to incidents, emergencies, and medical situations
* Apply First Aid and CPR when required
* Manage access to restricted areas and loading docks
* Handle conflicts calmly using de‐escalation techniques
* Prepare accurate incident reports and security logs
What we're looking for:
* Current QLD Security Licence + Crowd Control Function
* Current First Aid & CPR certificates
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Professional presentation and high integrity
* Flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster
* Reliability and positive attitude
* Driver's Licence and transport (preferred)
* Availability for a minimum of 3 days per week
