About the Role
The Database Administration Officer supports the integrity, usability and effectiveness of alumni and philanthropic data systems within the Alumni & Philanthropy Unit. Working within the Advancement Systems and Services team, this role contributes to data quality and access, system support and continuous improvement initiatives that enable accurate reporting and effective, strategic alumni and donor engagement.
Role Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate and up to date constituent data in CRM and related systems.
* Support data hygiene activities, including data cleaning, validation and duplicate management.
* Assist with data imports, exports and routine data processing tasks.
* Provide first level support to internal users of Advancement systems.
* Contribute to system documentation, user guidance and basic training materials.
* Support compliance with data governance, privacy and records management requirements.
* Assist with reporting, dashboards and data extraction to support operational needs.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Alumni & Philanthropy Unit and central teams including Faculties, Data and IT teams.
About You
Skills, Attributes & Knowledge
* Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
* Analytical and methodical approach to data quality and problem solving.
* Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non‐technical stakeholders.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with CRM or database systems.
* Interest in data governance, system improvement and digital tools.
* Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
* Awareness of privacy, compliance and information management requirements.
Experience
* Experience working in a data focused, administrative or systems support role.
* Experience maintaining accurate records and supporting data quality processes.
* Experience using CRM systems, databases or reporting tools.
* Experience supporting internal users through documentation or basic system support.
* Experience working in a complex organisational environment is desirable.
Qualifications
Relevant tertiary qualification, or an equivalent combination of education, training and relevant professional experience.
What We Offer
Base Salary Range: $83,906 - $95,989 (HEW5) plus 17% superannuation (pension)
The position is full time and will be made on a continuing basis.
