Finance Lead

Syntro Health looking for a Finance all-rounder to support the CFO and take ownership of the end-to-end finance function.

As a high-growth and dynamic organisation, Syntro Health requires a proactive finance professional who can operate autonomously while partnering closely with internal and external operational stakeholders. The role includes accounts receivable, accounts payable, month-end close, and assisting with financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and continuous improvement of financial operations.

There will also be opportunities to contribute to key finance transformation initiatives, including the uplift of financial systems, reporting frameworks, and process automation, supporting the business through its next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Control

* Manage end-to-end accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
* Issuing monthly client invoicing, managing aged receivables and cash collections
* Perform bank reconciliations
* Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and provide some analytical insight into variances
* Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Month-End & Reporting

* Assist with the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
* Assist with monthly management reports, variance analysis, and initial supporting commentary.
* Maintain the fixed asset register.
* Support year-end financial reporting.

Systems, Process Improvement & Growth Initiatives

* Contribute to finance transformation projects, including the uplift of financial systems, reporting capabilities, and automation of processes.
* Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and data integrity across finance operations.
* Support the CFO in implementing best-practice financial processes aligned to a growing organisation.

Additional Responsibilities

* Manage monthly and fortnightly payroll processing
* Contribute to ad hoc financial analysis and strategic projects.

Key Requirements

* CA or CPA qualified, or part-qualified / nearing completion.
* Demonstrated experience in a hands on accounting role with exposure to end-to-end finance functions.
* Strong understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger management, and month-end close processes.
* Experience preparing management reports and variance analysis.
* Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel skills.
* High level of attention to detail, organisation, and accountability.
* Ability to work autonomously while effectively partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage across all levels of the organisation.
* Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimisation.
