The Program:
We are seeking Expressions of Interest for qualified and experienced Community Service Professionals for a variety of roles that will become available in the coming months as part of The Queensland Governments commitment to reducing reoffending and getting young offenders back on track, with $175 million in funding allocated to the Staying on Track program.
Staying on Track providers will deliver a comprehensive rehabilitation program for up to 12 months, including 6 months of intensive support for young people transitioning back into the community after release from detention. This program is designed to complement a young person’s existing supervised orders.
Staying on Track ensures young people transitioning back into the community are provided with tailored support to manage at-risk behaviours, opportunity to engage in training or education, and support towards employment pathways.

Role Overview:
* Deliver trauma informed and person centred case-management services to Young People to reduce the risk of reoffending by addressing issues influencing their offending behaviour
* Engage Young People into education, training and/or employment
* Work alongside key stakeholders including parents and families, supporting Young People to build positive relationships
Role Requirements:
* Completed Bachelor Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Criminology and Criminal Justice or similar
* Demonstrated Case Management experience in a Youth focused role
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations across Youth Justice and Child Safety
* In depth understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Valid Drivers Licence
* Possession of, or willingness and eligibility to obtain a Working with Children Check
* Possession of, or willingness and eligibility to obtain a National Police Clearance Check
* Must have Permanent Residency to be considered
