Overview
Hudson are proud to partner with a large financial services organisation in the search for a 'Cyber Security Advisor' to join their team. This is a highly regarded role within the team that plays a pivotal function in ensuring that cyber security standards are upheld across the organisation. This is a holistic cyber security advisor role; GRC knowledge is vital to understand the complex requirements and risks involved. GRC knowledge alone will not be enough though; this is not a hands-on role, but will still require a cyber SME that can give pointed advice to technical teams, educating them on ways to manage and remediate risks.
Contract details
Initial contract: 6 months with the view to extend
Location: Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney. Hybrid workplace
Rate: Up to $**** + super per day
Responsibilities
Complete architecture and design reviews, security control assessments, and threat modelling activities of new and existing systems.
Give advice and guidance to project teams on all aspects of cyber security, ensuring cyber security is taken into consideration throughout IT projects, and when making key decisions.
Guide technical teams on the remediation of identified security gaps
Ensure that cyber security controls meet regulatory requirements (APRA, etc.)
Drive a positive, security-aware culture within the organisation
Requirements
7+ years in cyber security with experience in both GRC and technical roles
Ability to conduct architecture reviews from a security perspective, and give actionable feedback when gaps are identified
Professional, precise communication skills while remaining approachable for other team members
Someone who is in touch with industry trends, best practices, and new technological developments that can bring these ideas to the organisation
Strong cloud security knowledge (AWS preferred)
Australian citizenship
