Roster: 8:6 – FIFO Perth
About the role:
Meeka Metals is currently accepting expressions of interest for Utility all-rounders and Kitchen staff to join our team at the Murchison Gold Project, 50kms north of Meekatharra.
The project is a combined open pit and underground gold mining operation with an initial 10-year mine life.
These Company direct roles offer the opportunity to join our village operations team. These roles will be offered on an 8:6 roster in a fulltime permanent position for the right candidates.
Kitchen Utility Responsibilities:
* Assist Chefs with food preparation as required.
* Responsible for maintaining clean & hygienic food prep areas.
* Responsible for food service areas and dining room.
* Assist with managing Food supply / stocks and stocktakes.
* Assist with unloading village supply trucks.
* Operate commercial dishwasher and pot wash station.
* Experienced Cooks also encouraged to apply.
All Rounder Responsibilities:
* Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the village accommodation.
* Daily cleaning of site offices and general spaces.
* Managing laundry / linen.
* Assist chefs with daily food preparation.
* Assist with unloading village supply trucks.
* Entry Level Role – Persons with a Hospitality background are encouraged to apply.
Required skills and experience:
* Demonstrated experience with room cleaning or working in a commercial kitchen
* Prior experience with stock management / ordering
* National Police Clearance.
* Forklift ticket, RSA, Food Handling Certs (desirable).
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol testing.
Accommodation
You will be accommodated in a well-appointed mine village with a fully equipped gym, recreation room, WIFI with streaming capacity and full Telstra coverage. Catering is provided by the Company's own catering and facilities management team with a budget that supports a wide variety of high-quality food options from our own Chefs.
