Join TAMS-AC in Gunnedah as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator. This leadership position is perfect for an experienced Registered Nurse who excels in both direct patient care and team coordination. With approximately 70% of your time devoted to providing hands-on clinical services and 30% focused on overseeing day-to-day operations, you'll play a vital role in ensuring exceptional patient outcomes, efficient workflows, and staff well-being.
This role would suit candidates with a background as a Practice Manager, Senior Registered Nurse or Nurse Unit Manager who are looking to leverage their leadership and clinical expertise in a supportive, community-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care:
1. Deliver high-quality nursing services, conduct patient assessments, and maintain thorough clinical documentation.
2. Act as a clinical mentor, offering guidance and support to team members.
Leadership & Coordination:
1. Supervise and guide an interdisciplinary team of approximately six staff (including Allied Health Practitioners, Administrative Staff, and an Elders Care Connector).
2. Manage daily operations such as staffing rosters and workflow coordination.
3. Foster a positive, collaborative workplace culture through strong communication and team development initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement:
1. Liaise with HNELHD Gunnedah executive and staff to ensure continuity of care and alignment with broader healthcare initiatives.
2. Collaborate with internal departments to uphold best practices and maintain high service standards.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications & Registration:
1. Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
Experience & Leadership Skills:
1. Demonstrated experience (3–5+ years) in a nursing capacity, with proven leadership or supervisory experience/training.
2. Strong organizational skills, able to juggle clinical responsibilities with staff coordination.
3. Background as a Practice Manager or Nurse Unit Manager is highly advantageous.
Interpersonal & Communication Abilities:
1. Excellent communication and team-building skills, with the capacity to inspire and guide a diverse group.
2. A commitment to maintaining a compassionate, patient-centred approach.
