The Financial Accountant is a critical role that is responsible for managing the key reporting and compliance functions within the business. Working as an integral part of our Finance team and reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role is also responsible for preparation of the monthly management accounts, annual financial reporting and tax obligations.

Description
Responsibilities:
1. Support the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Group Financial Controller (GFC) to provide timely, accurate and detailed information and reporting to internal stakeholders to ensure priorities and growth targets are met.
2. End-to-end preparation and integrity of financial data for executive reports, for finalisation by the CFO.
3. Review of monthly and annual financial data for month end and adjust accruals where necessary.
4. Maintenance of monthly and annual balance sheet reconciliations for CFO, GFC and external audit review.
5. Prepare Group financial consolidation and Financial Reports for external audit review.
6. Assist with supporting information for the Group's tax returns (Income and FBT returns).
7. Review monthly and annual payroll tax and superannuation contribution guarantee reconciliations.
8. Maintain the Group asset registers (Accounting and Tax) and Right-to-Use asset registers.
9. Prepare and co-ordinate execution of asset financing documentation and maintenance of the Group's financial obligations and commitments registers.
10. Preparation of financial data for review and inclusion in operational reports, providing variance analysis feedback and supporting greater financial acumen amongst operational management.
11. Assist the GFC to review and approve payments to vendors and employees when required.
12. Take responsibility for workplace health and safety for self and others.
13. Efficiently navigate MNG's internal corporate IT systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and MNG Intranet.
14. Work in accordance with MNG's Quality and Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
Skills And Experiences
Requirements:
15. CA or CPA qualification.
16. Tertiary qualification within a related discipline.
17. Demonstrated experience in a comparable role or industry.
18. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
19. High attention to detail
20. Ability to organise and prioritise tasks, work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
21. Demonstrated high level of communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to create effective working relationships with and contribute to the team in a proactive and positive manner.
22. Australian residency or citizenship.
