About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping the future of our city, leading transformative planning projects that make a visible difference to how people live, move, connect and thrive.
This is a key role that has real influence on the development of our city's strategy, requiring a senior-level leader with experience in strategic or statutory planning, sustainable development, or urban design.

Key Responsibilities
1. Lead multidisciplinary teams and influence across government and industry to drive strategic planning and policy development.
2. Develop and implement strategies that balance growth and environment through long-term community wellbeing initiatives.
3. Forge partnerships with government, industry, developers and communities to unlock major opportunities and drive progress.

Requirements
* Senior-level experience in strategic or statutory planning, sustainable development, or urban design.
* Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and influence across government and industry.
* Confident advocate who can navigate complex decision-making forums and elevate the City's voice.
* Deep understanding of WA planning legislation and development pathways.
