Vision Power is a Western Australian owned and operated electrical company involved in all aspects of the Electrical Industry covering a wide range of expertise including Low Voltage (240v), High Voltage (up to 132kv), metering, installations and maintenance. We are a small, close-knit business and have proudly operated in the Kimberley region for 14 years.
About the role
We are seeking a full-time Trades Assistant to support our team across powerline construction and repair projects.
This is an ongoing position suited to a physically capable, safety-focused individual with experience operating earth-moving equipment. Prior experience in the power industry is not essential; however, demonstrated plant competency is critical.
Our work includes overhead and underground power distribution works across the Kimberley region, and the team regularly travels overnight to remote communities.

Responsibilities
* Operate earth-moving plant safely and competently
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment
* Assist with trenching, conduit and pit installation
* Support cable hauling and installation
* Assist with pole erection and associated works
* Load and unload plant, materials and tools
* Establish and maintain safe work zones and exclusion areas
* Spot plant and support lifting operations
* Maintain tools, plant and company vehicles
* Drive company vehicles (manual transmission)
* Follow all safety procedures, including JSA's, SWMS and company HSE policies
You will have
* Construction White Card
* Current First Aid Certificate
* Current CPR Certificate
* Current MR-Class Driver's Licence
* Proven experience operating earth-moving plant
* Physically fit and capable of manual handling
* Willingness to work in remote locations
* Strong ability to follow direction and work methodically within a team
* Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
* Satisfactory police clearance
* Satisfactory ongoing drug & alcohol testing results
