Your new role:
As Nurse Manager – Permanent & Casual Nursing Pool, You Will Provide Strong, Visible Leadership To a Large And Diverse Nursing Workforce, Ensuring Safe, Efficient And Responsive Staffing That Supports Optimal Patient Flow And Hospital Performance. You Will
* Lead and manage the Permanent and Casual Nursing Pools, overseeing recruitment, rostering, workforce capability and staff development
* Provide advanced operational and professional nursing leadership aligned with clinical governance, safety, quality, budgetary and legislative requirements.
* Partner closely with senior nursing leaders and Nurse Unit Managers to support hospital-wide patient flow, capacity and service demand.
* Use data, benchmarking and performance insights to drive continuous improvement, workforce optimisation and high-quality patient outcomes.
About You
You are an experienced and credible nurse leader who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about building capable, agile teams that deliver exceptional care. You have:
* Current AHPRA registration and extensive experience in nursing leadership, workforce management and complex rostering environments.
* Demonstrated expertise in leading large teams, managing performance, and fostering a positive, values-driven culture
* Strong analytical and decision-making capability, with proven experience using data, trends and benchmarking
* Highly developed communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at senior and executive levels.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
