Check the details below and talk to us about this amazing opportunity!What will your typical day look like?As a Senior Consultant in our Finance Consulting team in Canberra, you will work with a team of Deloitte’s brightest minds to analyze clients’ needs and requirements for transforming their Finance Function.About the teamGovernment is being disrupted at lightning speed, and we’re responsible for helping Government Agencies and their CFOs stay ahead of the curve.Our high-performing, collaborative team offers advice to Government clients to enable and optimize their investment decisions, funding strategies, finance functions, and financial management, ensuring alignment with organizational and Government goals.We focus on improving investment decision-making, efficiency, and effectiveness at all stages of the investment and finance transformation journey—from designing change to delivering, managing, and providing assurance around change initiatives.You will be an integral part of a leading Finance Transformation practice in Australia, generating insights to deliver value to our clients.We are a diverse team that enjoys working together to deliver impactful work while recognizing the importance of having some fun along the way!About youWith a focus on Federal Government, you will be responsible for providing the following offerings to our clients:3-4 years of professional experience in a finance consulting environmentAn analytical background in mathematical modeling, e.g., Commerce, Finance, Actuarial, Data, or Engineering, with an interest in capability cost estimationExperience with Financial systems used in Defence, SAP, ROMAN, BORIS, TM1 (IBRIS)Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and other cost management/estimation applicationsStrong communication, planning, and organization skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to produce high-quality project reporting and analysisAdvanced understanding and experience in cost control/program finance across various phases of the project lifecycle/Capability Life CycleExperience in identifying, analyzing, and providing solutions to cost control/program finance problemsExperience in conducting cost control functions, including cost forecasting, analysis, trending, budget phasing, and change managementExperience in cost estimation and controls practicesNote: Due to client requirements, all candidates must undergo security clearance, and only Australian citizens will be considered.
