Fairhaven, founded in 1962 by families on the Central Coast, provides education services to children living with disabilities. Now known as Fairhaven Services Limited, a non-profit, registered charity, and NDIS service provider based at Point Clare, we are the largest employer of people with disabilities on the Central Coast. About the Role
This voluntary, non-executive director position is ideal for someone with expertise in property development, building, or architecture. Your knowledge will guide the development of our sites and physical assets, a key part of our 2030 strategy.
As a Board Member, you will:
* Provide expert advice on property planning, site utilisation, and development strategy.
* Contribute insights into construction, compliance, risk management, and design.
* Help ensure sustainability, accessibility, and innovation in our built environment.
* Attend monthly in-person board meetings and collaborate with leadership on strategic planning.
* Play an active role in shaping Fairhaven's infrastructure for the future.
You will be part of a forward-thinking team dedicated to creating inclusive, high-impact spaces that empower people with disabilities to thrive.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as a builder, architect, property developer, or related field.
* Board or advisory experience is preferred.
* A local connection to the NSW Central Coast community.
* The ability and commitment to support strategic site and property development.
* A strong understanding of compliance, project planning, and sustainable building practices.
