Our Board plays a vital role in guiding VCC’s strategic direction and ensuring the sustainability of our services. Due to three board members reaching the end of their terms, we are now seeking a passionate Treasurer to join our Board.
About the Role
Requirements:
* Must hold CPA qualifications.
* Proven experience with financial oversight in the not-for‑profit sector and familiarity with ACNC requirements.
* Will collaborate closely with our experienced bookkeeper/finance officer to maintain strong financial governance.
What we’re looking for
We value Board members who bring a combination of strategic oversight, passion for the community, and a hands‑on attitude. Ideal candidates will:
* Understand or be keen to learn about the Australian community and volunteer sector.
* Be able to balance governance with practical, operational support.
* Be effective communicators who value collaboration and inclusivity.
* Possess previous board experience (welcomed but not essential).
Commitment & Term
* Meetings are bi‑monthly (every second month).
* Attend occasional subcommittee meetings and key VCC events.
* Standard Board term as per VCC constitution.
* These are volunteer roles (unpaid). Out‑of‑pocket expenses may be reimbursed upon agreement.
