Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Cook to prepare and serve high-quality, nutritious food to participants of our recovery services centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for meal preparation, monitoring food handling methods, and maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
About the Role
* Prepare high-volume meals for residential participants in accordance with food safety requirements.
* Develop menu plans for approval by management.
* Maintain stock levels, receive deliveries, and store supplies in line with budget restraints.
* Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to Australian Food Safety Standards and TSA policies.
* Rotate food and track quality to comply with HACCP standards.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Certificate III in commercial cookery trade qualification or willingness to work towards obtaining qualifications.
* Demonstrated experience and ability in kitchen/catering operations.
* Ability to work a flexible roster, covering staff absences and planned leave across 7 days.
* Minimum of 1 year experience working in a commercial kitchen.
* Knowledge and experience of safe food handling requirements.
* Knowledge of HACCP is highly regarded.
* First aid certificate.
* A Full Driver's Licence.
* A Valid and Paid Working with Children Check.
