About the role
Pelvic Health Melbourne is seeking a highly motivated physiotherapist with some experience in Pelvic Health to join our dedicated team in Altona North and Caroline Springs, Victoria. This position is full-time across 2 clinics with full supervision and support, weekly mentoring, and comprehensive upskilling in all areas of pelvic health care. Pre-requisite learning of APA levels one and two: Women's, Men's, and Pelvic Health Physiotherapy courses are required as a minimum.
What you'll be doing
* Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualised treatment plans for patients with a range of pelvic health conditions, including bladder, bowel, prolapse, peripartum health, pelvic pain, and sexual dysfunction.
* Provide hands-on physical therapy interventions, such as pelvic floor muscle training, biofeedback, and manual therapy techniques as well as exercise prescription.
* Educate patients on the anatomy and function of the pelvic floor, as well as lifestyle modifications and self-management strategies
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as obstetricians, gynaecologists, urologists and colorectal speciliast to provide holistic, patient-centred care
* Maintain detailed patient records and documentation in accordance with professional standards
* Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in pelvic health physiotherapy
What we're looking for
* A degree in Physiotherapy
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in physiotherapy, with training in pelvic health. APA level one and 2 minimum prerequisites.
* Knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the pelvic floor, as well as the assessment and management of pelvic floor dysfunction
* Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop tailored treatment plans
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively educate and empower patients
* Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Physiotherapist
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for staying at the forefront of pelvic health physiotherapy
* Must hold permanent Australian work rights to be eligible for this position
