We are seeking a Turnkey Contract Manufacturing Manager to join our Sales Team in Clayton. This role plays a critical part in building and managing a high-performing network of external contract manufacturers, ensuring the successful delivery of new product development (NPD), existing product development (EPD) and ongoing supply.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, this role is responsible for end-to-end sourcing, supplier management, commercial negotiations, and ensuring reliable, compliant and cost-effective manufacturing solutions across the turnkey network.
Key outcomes of the role include:
* Lead sourcing, evaluation and onboarding of turnkey Contract Manufacturers to support NPD and EPD initiatives.
* Translate product briefs, forecast and timelines into aligned sourcing and production plans in collaboration with Innovation, Marketing, and Sales.
* Own commercial negotiations include pricing, MOQs, lead times, payment terms and risk allocation.
* Manage NDAs and Supply Agreements in partnership with Legal to ensure commercial protection and compliance.
* Act as the primary point of contact for contract manufacturers, overseeing development, production and delivery.
* Manage purchase order execution end-to-end, ensuring on-time and in-full delivery performance.
* Monitor supplier performance, proactively identifying risks, delays or capacity constraints.
* Build strong supplier relationships through regular reviews, site visits and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Partner with Quality to support supplier onboarding, audit and compliance requirements.
* Support material sourcing, transfer and rebate structures aligned with turnkey manufacturing models.
As the successful candidate, you will have;
* Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Minimum 3+ years' experience in contract manufacturing, sourcing, procurement or external manufacturing.
* Strong commercial negotiation and contract management experience.
* Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and end-to-end manufacturing processes.
* Experience managing purchase orders, production timelines and delivery performance.
* Strong understanding of supply chain, sourcing principles and risk management.
* Knowledge of quality systems and regulatory environments (pharma, health, or FMCG highly regarded).
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capability.
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
