Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled Project Geologist to join our team. As a Project Geologist, you will play a crucial role in converting economic gold deposits and managing drilling programmes.
Your primary responsibilities will include constructing and validating 3D geological models, using appropriate resource estimation techniques to build block models, and mentoring and supervising geologists and field staff to ensure data accuracy.
* Evaluate Resource Definition Targets: Assess the likelihood of economic viability of resource definition targets and input into site database (Complete Target).
* Build/Validate 3D Geological Models: Construct and validate 3D geological models in Leapfrog Geo.
* Data Validation: Ensure data is validated and the database is complete.
* Planning and Interpretation: Plan and interpret geophysical and geochemical data.
* Recommendations: Make recommendations for future work, be collaborative, and facilitate group project reviews and planning.
* Reporting: Deliver completion reports, resource statements, and compile data for annual technical reporting to JORC standards.
* Assistance: Assist with periodical reporting and company presentations.
* QAQC Reporting: Participate in laboratory audits and provide QAQC reporting and compliance for projects.
* Lease Management: Manage lease tasks including MLA applications, relinquishments, and EOT reports. Update company software packages with up-to-date tenement information.
* Continuous Improvement: Encourage, participate, and assist in implementing continuous improvement in all work-related activities.
About You:
* Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology.
* Experience: Minimum 4 years' experience in gold with a good understanding of economic ore deposits, geochemistry, and structural geology.
* Certifications: Highly computer literate with expertise in geological modelling software (Leapfrog Geo preferred). Mining software competency (Datamine, QGIS, Acquire, Leapfrog).
* Skill Sets: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Highly developed problem identification and solution conceptualisation. Knowledge of statutory acts and regulations, and legal requirements.
* Lifestyle: Resident of the Kalgoorlie/Boulder area or FIFO from Perth working an 8:6 (12-hour day) roster, Thursday to Thursday.
