Role Description
This is a full-time role for a qualified and experienced Tax Accountant. The position is remote (work-from-home) or can be Sunshine Coast QLD office based. The Accountant will be responsible for preparing Tax and BAS compliance for individuals, corporates and SMSF, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting the Tax and Accounting team. The successful applicant will be competent in Tax and Financial Statement preparation, including workpapers and reconciliations, in accordance with Australian Taxation and Accounting legislation and Standards. The successful applicant will be conscientious and client focussed to deliver positive support to our business clients.
Qualifications
Strong skills in tax preparation for Individuals, Companies, Trust and SMSF
Experience in the preparation of BAS / IAS and accounts reconciliation
Experience in preparing financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets
Knowledge of tax legislation and tax planning
Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems
Robust experience in Xero and Xero Tax is ideal
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
