Our client, a agile and vibrant leader in the digital media industry, is seeking a Head of Digital Distribution to oversee the management and distribution of video assets across their owned YouTube channels, client channels, and other AVOD platforms.
This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution to ensure content delivery meets high standards of quality and aligns with organisational goals.
**Location**: Melbourne / Sydney (Hybrid)
**Salary**: 100,000 - 125,000 Inc Super. (Dependant on Experience)
**About the Role** The Head of Digital Distribution will lead a team of compliance video editors and work closely with asset management specialists. This position focuses on optimising video distribution workflows, maintaining metadata integrity, and leveraging rights management to maximise content value.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Team Leadership**: Manage and mentor the video editing team, ensuring delivery meets deadlines and quality standards.
- **Strategic Planning**: Develop best practices for asset workflows and metadata accuracy to enhance operational efficiency.
- **Video Distribution**: Oversee content delivery to YouTube channels and AVOD platforms, maintaining rigorous QA and metadata standards.
- **Rights Management**: Collaborate on rights policies within YouTube CMS, addressing takedowns and catalogue updates as required.
- **Reporting and Administration**: Generate actionable insights and refine workflows for asset management and rights handling.
**Skills and Qualifications**
- Proven experience in video distribution and asset management, particularly for YouTube or other AVOD platforms.
- Strong leadership abilities with a track record of team mentorship.
- Technical proficiency in video and asset management tools
- Familiarity with YouTube CMS and certification (or willingness to acquire it).
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills.
