Job Title: Assistant Base Manager and Estate Management & Planning Manager
Description:
A high-performing leadership role supporting Defence operations, capability, and future growth. As an Assistant Base Manager or Estate Management & Planning Manager, you will play a critical role in managing and operating Defence sites across Australia, leading teams, managing complex issues, and delivering outcomes that enable Defence capability.
The role involves providing on-the-ground support to ensure smooth operations, responding to incidents, supporting Defence exercises and operations, and managing risks related to weather events and other emergencies.
You will manage relationships with Defence personnel, contractors, and other agencies to ensure essential services are delivered and infrastructure maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and coordination across Defence bases, developing high-performing teams to ensure safe and secure operations as an Assistant Base Manager.
- Oversee base operations, manage incidents, support Defence activities, and liaise with stakeholders including Defence personnel, service providers, contractors, and communities.
- Provide strategic oversight for planning, developing, and managing the Defence estate as an Estate Management & Planning Manager.
- Work with planners, infrastructure teams, and stakeholders to manage land, infrastructure, and assets, ensuring operational needs and future growth are met.
