This role offers the opportunity to join a high-performing systems support team dedicated to maintaining and securing critical passenger transport systems. You will play a pivotal role in implementing scalable Azure solutions, managing robust security protocols, and driving operational efficiency through automation and modern DevSecOps practices.
What You Will Do:
* Infrastructure & Pipeline Management: Oversee and optimise Azure infrastructure while designing secure CI/CD pipelines with embedded automated security controls.
* Security & Assurance: Lead threat and risk assessments (TRAs), conduct security scanning, and perform continuous monitoring to proactively prevent intrusions.
* Automation & IaC: Design and deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, and KQL.
* Systems Integration: Provide specialist technical advice to support the integration of passenger information applications and real-time scheduling systems.
* Compliance & Governance: Ensure all cloud services, including Power Platform and Microsoft 365, align with strict government security standards and Zero Trust principles.
What You Need to Apply for This Role:
* Cloud Engineering Expertise: Between four to six years of experience in cloud engineering and security operations within a medium to large organisation.
* Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Azure DevOps, GitHub, Terraform, and containerisation tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
* Security & Monitoring Knowledge: Proven experience in managing security layers (identity, network, and data) and operating monitoring solutions like Grafana.
* Agile Collaboration: Experience working within the full software development life cycle (SDLC) using both Agile and traditional project management methods.
* Communication Skills: Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills to effectively engage with technical teams and leadership stakeholders.
