Overview
Rehabilitation Consultant - Rehab Counsellor / Psychologist / Social Worker role at IPAR, a national occupational rehabilitation provider. We support return to work through workplace rehabilitation, counselling, injury prevention and employment support. Our team works with clients to identify goals and provide psychological or physical supports to help them live life to the fullest. IPAR is part of the MedHealth network.

Responsibilities
* Case management (caseloads are manageable with support from Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks)
* Apply clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes
* Develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs with employers and employees
* Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals
* Work across schemes such as workers compensation, CTP, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs
* Assist clients to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes
* Conduct initial, worksite and vocational assessments to support return to health, work and life goals
* Provide injury prevention and consultancy services such as group mental health training, Employee Assistance Program services, Psychological Functional Capacity Evaluations and Adjustment to Injury Counselling
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Rehabilitation Counselling, Psychology, Social Work or Occupational Therapy
* General or Provisional AHPRA registration, or full ASORC/AASW membership
* Previous experience in Occupational Rehabilitation preferred
* Strong communication and time management skills
* Compassion, kindness and empathy
* Current Queensland Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance
