In The Alma Hotel Willunga,We are looking for an experienced and motivated Duty Manager to oversee day-to-day operations during service. You will be responsible for leading the team on shift, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring the venue operates safely, efficiently, and in line with all compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Service
* Open and close the venue as required
* Supervise bar, floor, and kitchen operations during service
* Ensure high standards of food, beverage, and customer service
* Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints professionally
* Assist on the floor and behind the bar during busy periods
Staff Leadership
* Lead, motivate, and support staff on shift
* Allocate duties and manage staff breaks
* Ensure staff follow uniform, grooming, and service standards
* Provide on-the-job training and guidance
Compliance & Safety
* Ensure RSA compliance at all times
* Monitor patron behaviour and manage intoxication responsibly
* Follow and enforce WHS, fire safety, and emergency procedures
* Complete incident and shift reports when required
Cash & Administration
* Operate POS systems and authorise refunds/voids
* Manage cash handling and end-of-shift reconciliations
* Complete handover notes and report issues to management
Venue Presentation
* Maintain cleanliness and presentation of all public areas
* Monitor stock levels and report shortages
* Identify and report maintenance or equipment issues
✅ Skills & Experience Required
* Previous experience as a Duty Manager or senior hospitality role
* Current RSA certification (essential)
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Customer-focused with a positive attitude
* Availability to work nights, weekends, and public holidays
