We are seeking an experienced full stack Senior Java Developer to work with us virtually and in our Essendon Victoria office.
As a Senior Developer, you will join a team of experienced and dedicated experts to work with our residential aged and community care clients, numbering over 1000 across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and the UK.
About You.
Technical skills and experience
* You are highly skilled in core java, both from a language knowledge and coding perspective.
* You are competent with JDBC (not JPA).
* You have an extensive background in MySQL or SQL (queries, constructs etc.).
* You adhere to and comply with recognised documented industry standards.
* You know common security vulnerabilities and best practices for secure coding. (OWASP Top Ten)
* You have a comprehensive understanding of client/server architectures and an understanding of object oriented principles for future enhancements.
* You must have relevant tertiary qualifications or industry certification and/or a minimum of 5 years extensive experience in application support.
You would have an advantage if you have
1. Oracle certification in MySQL 8.0 Developer and Java 8 or 17 Developer would be an advantage or the successful candidate would need to successfully complete these in the first 12 months with Leecare.
2. GWT experience, if not we will train you.
3. ITIL Certification.

* You identify and fix bugs efficiently. Profiling and optimising code for performance improvements.
* You monitor your own development to identify and proactively address your areas of improvement.
* You are a self starter with a proven ability to manage the workload and timeframes without constant supervision.
* You will offer solutions as a senior and seasoned professional working as part of a team.
You must have theright to live and work (with no restrictions)in this location.
About the Role
Your skills will be utilised to develop product enhancements, new features, and problem solve issues for any of our web browser based software modules that form our single enterprise level system.
As an example, here are some requirements to be successful in this role.
* Use Agile Scrum methodology to support our health, aged care clients and teams
* Develop integration solutions in line with functional requirements to deliver business benefits
* System test developed solutions and present testing results
* Participate in Code review activities
* Generate technical documentation at a level relevant to professional solutions
* Develop and adhere to processes for source control
* Develop and adhere to good working practices for managing the process of problem management and route cause analysis for code changes
* Ensure system stability and reliability and conformity to audit and security requirements
* Ensure timely delivery of high quality code which reflects the business requirements and design specifications
* Provide recommendations on requirements and/or the impact of new technology
* To work collaboratively with clients and Leecare team members
