Tell me about this role:
We are currently looking for a Communications Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis.
This role will be based in Canberra and will play a critical part in supporting Maritime landing craft.
No two days are the same in this role which is essential to the success of the project. We are looking for multi-skilled, flexible, hardworking people who are keen to grow their career within a leading Defence supplier.

What will I be doing day to day?
* Perform the function of the Communications Engineer SME
* Obtain and exercise a Delegated Technical Authority within the field of Communications Engineering including communications, electronic systems, navigation systems, situational awareness systems, command and control systems and sensors
* Undertake Design Review, Design Acceptance and Technical Certification of Communications Engineering functions
* Support the development of key documentation within the Authorised Engineering Organisation (AEO) under the Principal
* Support the review of classification society Approved documentation and identify where additional engineering resources are required to undertake review
* Review, comment and approval of engineering in line with contracted timeframes
What sort of skills do I need?
* Minimum five years' experience in an Acquisition or Shipbuilding position
* Bachelor's Degree in an applicable discipline
* Suitable experience within either the design or design review of communications, electronic systems, navigation systems, situational awareness systems, command and control systems and sensors
* Previously held Defence delegations within the Maritime domain highly regarded
* Hold a minimum NV1 security clearance (must be an Australian citizen)
