Job description:
DT Infrastructure is delivering a major renewable energy project in Central Queensland and we're looking for a Health & Safety Manager to drive a culture of zero harm. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for setting the safety strategy, managing high-risk activities, and ensuring all contractors and teams operate to the highest safety standards.
You will have direct influence on the safety culture and performance of the project, partnering closely with the Project Director to deliver a safe, compliant, and high-performing site.
This position is a FIFO from Brisbane to Central QLD on a 2/1 roster.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the implementation and oversight of health and safety management systems across renewable projects.
Provide hands-on safety leadership, risk management and compliance advice to project teams and contractors.
Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, rail safety requirements (where applicable) and DT Infrastructure standards.
Lead incident investigations, audits and reporting, driving continuous improvement in safety performance.
Build strong relationships with regulators, clients and internal stakeholders to support best-practice safety outcomes.
Profile description:
Tertiary or diploma-level qualification in Workplace Health & Safety or a related discipline.
10+ years' experience in health and safety roles within construction, infrastructure, energy or renewables environments.
Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management and safety management systems (ISO 45001 / ISO
Proven experience supporting contractor management, audits and incident investigations.
A proactive, credible safety leader with strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
