These duties will include transportation and positioning of patients, set-up, collection and delivery of theatre equipment, and associated cleaning and ancillary duties.
You will assist with ensuring the availability of specific equipment as required, including positioning equipment, tourniquets, electro-surgery equipment, monitors, cameras, microscopes, plaster trolleys, insufflators, extra trolleys and hand tables for scheduled procedures in consultation with the Operating Theatre team.
You will also prepare beds to receive post-operative patients, change linen as necessary, and apply electric blankets, drip stands and cot sides when appropriate.
The Queen Elizabeth Hospital provides health services by means of inpatient, outpatient and emergency services with a focus on continuity of care coordinated by a multidisciplinary team.With previous hospital experience, you will work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
You should be self-motivated, physically fit for manual handling, punctual and reliable.
